Can you provide more information on the Battery?

We have developped a battery with a high level of safety and quality.
Its main characteristics are:
  • Type : Lithium-Polymer NMC,
  • Voltage: 36 Volts,
  • Amperage : 11 Amperes-hours,
  • Number of cycles: 1500,
  • Discharge current at 99,7% of capacity: 20 Amperes-hours,
  • No memory effect.

What are your after-sales Warranties?

Our Electric Bikes are warrantied :
  • 5 years for the frame,
  • 2 years for the battery and motor,
  • 1 year for other parts.
Just after having purchased your Veloscoot, your Retailer will registered your Warranty which will immediatly valid.

Can I be helped with a financial incentive?

We have prepared for you this page with a list of local incentives to electric bikes with information we have been told.

Despite our best efforts, this list cannot been comprehensive. Please check to your Town or local authorities to know if an incentive may apply.

How to retrieve my electric bike Certificate of conformity?

Very simple, all our Electric Bikes are certified EN15194, the sole standard for these products.

If I partially recharge my battery, does this counts as one cycle?

A Cycle represents a complete charge and not a partial one.
Let's take 2 examples :
  • If you recharge 3 times a third of the capacity, the total meaning 100% of the battery capacity, it will count for 1 cycle,
  • If you recharge at 40% of the capacity, this will count for the next cycle and will not count for 1 cycle. In fact, the cycle will be reached when you will recharge for a capacity value of 100%.
1500 cycles represent 1500 times you charge at a value of 100% of battery capacity and not 1500 times a partial charge.

Does the Battery get recharged while braking or when descending?

No, this feature does not show a real performance (less than 0.5%) and, paradoxically, this requires a consumption to be managed.

In other words, in order to generate enough power, our e-bike will brake very hardly, thus compromising your safety.

The Veloscoot SAP2 will give you much better performance to manage the battery consumption.

I bought an electric bike from another brand. Can I buy from Veloscoot a spare battery?

Unfornately, it is not possible.
We cannot know if our batery could be compatible with your electri bike. More important, for safety reasons, we advise to NOT use a battery which is not stricly recommended by manufacturer. It could be dangerous and jeopardize your e-bike as well as your self.
